In Friday's non-league game, the Camden Central Lions (Camden, TN) football team knocked off the visiting East Hickman County Eagles (Lyles, TN), by a score of 41-27.
The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Huntingdon (Huntingdon, TN). The Mustangs come into the 2A Region 7 game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Huntingdon toppled Jackson South Side (Jackson, TN), 41-13, in a non-league game.
The Eagles now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lewis County for a 2A Region 6 game on Friday, September 2. East Hickman County will battle a Panthers team coming off a 38-8 non-league loss to Fayetteville (Fayetteville, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.
