The Elgin Comets topped the visiting Cardington-Lincoln Pirates football team by a final score of 30-14 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Elgin improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Comets travel to Mt. Gilead (Mt. Gilead, OH) to confront the Indians in a non-league outing on Friday, September 2. The Indians go into the outing with a record of 1-1. Mt. Gilead lost 28-6 in their recent non-league outing against Upper Sandusky (Upper Sandusky, OH)

With the loss, Cardington-Lincoln moves to 0-2 on the season. The Pirates host Crestline (Crestline, OH) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Friday, September 2. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 0-2. Crestline lost 16-0 in their recent non-league outing against North Baltimore (North Baltimore, OH)
