California High School Football - Hilltop can't get by El Capitan

August 26, 2022: Chula Vista, CA 91910

El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA), 9-7 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, El Capitan improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Vaqueros travel to La Jolla (La Jolla, CA) to confront the Vikings in a non-league test on Friday, September 2. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 1-1. La Jolla won 28-21 in their recent non-league test against Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA)

With the loss, Hilltop drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Chula Vista (Chula Vista, CA) to confront the Spartans in a non-league test on Thursday, September 1. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 0-2. Chula Vista lost 29-0 in their recent non-league test against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA)
