    In Friday's non-league match, the host Hewitt-Trussville Huskies football squad scored a big 64-17 victory over the Gadsden City Titans.

    In their next game, the Huskies clash with the Oak Mountain Eagles (Birmingham, AL) in a 7A Region 3 match, on Friday, September 2. Hewitt-Trussville will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 21-17 non-league win over Pelham (Pelham, AL).

    The Titans (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Buckhorn (New Market, AL). The Bucks enter the 6A Region 8 match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Buckhorn was crushed by Helena (Helena, AL), 55-17, in a non-league match.
