The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) and the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), observed Gray's Creek's football squad thwart Union Pines by a tally of 35-12.

The Bears now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host West Johnston for a non-league contest on Friday, September 2. Gray's Creek will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 56-7 non-league win over Western Harnett (Lillington, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 1. Union Pines will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 56-7 non-league loss to West Johnston (Benson, NC).
