The Helias Crusaders thwarted the host Hannibal Pirates football team by a count of 31-21 in Friday's non-league outing.
With the win, Helias upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Hickman (Columbia, MO) to face the Kewpies in a Central Missouri bout on Friday, September 2. The Kewpies enter the bout with a record of 0-1. Hickman lost 28-0 in their recent non-league bout against North Kansas City (North Kansas City, MO)
The Pirates (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Jefferson City (Jefferson City, MO). The Jays enter the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Jefferson City defeated Osage (Kaiser, MO), 41-19, in a non-league bout.
