The Pittston Patriots football team (Pittston, PA), was ripped 47-15 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA)

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA). The Buckhorns come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Wallenpaupack Area trounced Honesdale (Honesdale, PA), 15-13, in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Williamsport for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 2. Pittston will meet a Millionaires team coming off a 42-14 non-league loss to State College (State College, PA). The Millionaires record now stands at 0-1.
