North Carolina High School Football - Highland Tech routed by Hickory Grove Christian

The Highland Tech Rams football team (Gastonia, NC), was ripped 55-22 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Hickory Grove Christian Lions (Charlotte, NC)

The Lions (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Anderson Cavaliers (Anderson, SC). The Cavaliers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Anderson Cavaliers was ripped by Greenville Hurricanes (Greenville, SC), 30-28, in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carver for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 2. Highland Tech will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 27-0 non-league loss to Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-2.

Congratulations to #8 Damaren Floyd (overall and offensive), #78 Vernon Richard (defensive) and #1 Kanaan Wagoner (special teams) for being selected the Hickory Grove Christian Football Players of the Game.
