The Holmes Bulldogs football team (Covington, KY), was knocked off 19-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY)
The Thoroughbreds (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Roger Bacon (Cincinnati, OH). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Roger Bacon knocked off Aiken (Cincinnati, OH), 21-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Bulldogs now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boone County for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 2. Holmes will meet a Rebels team coming off a 14-13 non-league win over Scott (Covington, KY). The Rebels record now stands at 3-0.
