    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Manistee Chippewas (Manistee, MI) and the visiting Holton Red Devils (Holton, MI), observed Manistee's football squad bounce Holton by a tally of 54-6.

    The Chippewas now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Mason County Central for a non-league contest on Friday, September 2. Manistee will play a Spartans squad coming off a 33-16 non-league loss to Frankfort (Frankfort, MI). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.

    Coming up next, the Red Devils play the Perry Ramblers (Perry, MI) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 2. Holton will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Ramblers go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 24-14 non-league win over Clawson (Clawson, MI).
