The Winfield Generals football team (Winfield, WV), was beaten 48-21 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV)
The Redskins (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Capital (Charleston, WV). The Cougars come into the Mountain State challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Capital was beaten by Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV), 59-0, in a non-league challenge.
The Generals now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hoover for a Cardinal challenge on Friday, September 2. Winfield will meet a Huskies team coming off a 34-19 league loss to Scott (Madison, WV). The Huskies record now stands at 0-1.
