The Washington County Bulldogs (Chatom, AL) football routed the visiting Johnson Eagles (Thomaston, AL), 53-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Clarke County Bulldogs (Grove Hill, AL) in a 2A Region 1 bout, on Friday, September 2. Washington County will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Leroy (Leroy, AL).
The Eagles (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Marengo (Dixons Mills, AL). The Panthers enter the 1A Region 3 bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Marengo was overwhelmed by St. Luke's Episcopal (Mobile, AL), 24-8, in a non-league bout.
