In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Solanco Golden Mules football squad scored a close 40-35 victory over the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers.

In their next game, the Golden Mules clash with the Cocalico Eagles (Denver, PA) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 2. Solanco will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 42-27 non-league win over Warwick (Lititz, PA).

With the loss, Lampeter-Strasburg drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Penn Manor (Millersville, PA) to battle the Comets in a non-league test on Friday, September 2. The Comets come into the test with a record of 1-0. Penn Manor won 27-13 in their recent non-league test against Conestoga Valley (Lancaster, PA)
