The Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) football defeated the host Miller/Highmore/Harrold (Miller, SD), 30-13 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Titans face the Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Tripp, SD) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, September 2. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 37-20 non-league win over Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD).
