In Friday's non-league match, the host Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers football squad scored a good 49-20 victory over the West Branch Warriors.

In their next game, the Mountaineers clash with the Huntingdon Bearcats (Huntingdon, PA) in a Mountain match, on Friday, September 2. Philipsburg-Osceola will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Bearcats enter the match with a 0-1 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Mount Union (Mount Union, PA).

The Warriors (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Everett (Everett, PA). The Warriors enter the Inter-County match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Everett dropped by Claysburg-Kimmel (Claysburg, PA), 19-14, in a league match.
