The Seaside Spartans (Seaside, CA) football edged the host Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA), 27-20 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Spartans face the Pacheco Panthers (Los Banos, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 2. Seaside will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 18-17 non-league loss to Central Valley (Ceres, CA).
The Highlanders (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Del Norte (Crescent City, CA). The Warriors enter the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Del Norte nudged Kelseyville (Kelseyville, CA), 71-13, in a non-league bout.
