The Southside Panthers football team (Selma, AL), was knocked off 36-8 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Selma Saints (Selma, AL)

The Saints (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Demopolis (Demopolis, AL). The Tigers come into the 5A Region 3 challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Demopolis was knocked off by Jackson (Jackson, AL), 43-20, in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Trinity Presbyterian for a 3A Region 3 challenge on Friday, September 2. Southside will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 21-14 non-league loss to Montgomery Academy (Montgomery, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-1.
