The South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN) football routed the visiting Westwood Longhorns (Memphis, TN), 41-0 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hornets face the Milan Bulldogs (Milan, TN) in a 4A Region 7 bout, on Friday, September 2. South Gibson will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 61-0 non-league win over Manassas (Memphis, TN).

The Longhorns (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Middleton (Middleton, TN). The Tigers enter the 1A Region 8 bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Middleton was overwhelmed by Thrasher (Booneville, MS), 21-6, in a non-league bout.
