Tennessee High School Football - Union City prevails University School of Jackson

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Union City Golden Tornadoes (Union City, TN) and the visiting University School of Jackson Bruins (Jackson, TN), observed Union City's football squad defeat University School of Jackson by a count of 19-6.

The Golden Tornadoes now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Houston County for a 2A Region 7 contest on Friday, September 2. Union City will encounter a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 34-8 non-league loss to Eagleville (Eagleville, TN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 0-2.

Coming up next, the Bruins encounter the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels (Millington, TN) in a Division II-A West contest, on Friday, September 2. University School of Jackson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 26-21 non-league loss to Overton (Memphis, TN).
