The Gregori Jaguars (Modesto, CA) football edged the visiting Merced Bears (Merced, CA), 14-13 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Jaguars face the Atwater Falcons (Atwater, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 2. Gregori will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Falcons enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 36-18 non-league win over Clovis East (Clovis, CA).
The Bears (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Downey (Modesto, CA). The Knights enter the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Downey nudged East Union (Manteca, CA), 47-34, in a non-league bout.
