Locust Grove Wildcats (Locust Grove, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Whitewater for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 29. Locust Grove will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-1 league win over Troup County (LaGrange, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-0.

With the loss, Elbert County falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 26. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Hebron Christian Academy won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Westminster (Atlanta, GA)
