The Perrin-Whitt Pirates (Perrin, TX) volleyball overcame the visiting Gold-Burg Bears (Bowie, TX), 3-1 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Perrin-Whitt upgrades its record to 11-5 on the year. The Pirates host Community Christian (Mineral Wells, TX) to face the Warriors in a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 30. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 5-4.

The Bears now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hirschi for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 27. Gold-Burg will face a Huskies squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Olney (Olney, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 0-16.
