Texas High School Volleyball - Pharr-San Juan-Alamo tips Holmes

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears (San Juan, TX) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Holmes Huskies (San Antonio, TX), 2-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Bears clash with the Zapata Hawks (Zapata, TX) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 27. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will attempt to advance on its 11-10 season record. The Hawks come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX).

With the loss, Holmes moves to 8-10 on the year. The Huskies host Stevens (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Falcons in a 6A Region IV District 29 contest on Tuesday, August 30. The Falcons go into the contest with a record of 15-4. Stevens won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Sotomayor (San Antonio, TX)
