The Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles (Houston, TX) football edged the host Lamar Consolidated Mustangs (Rosenberg, TX), 28-27 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Friendswood Mustangs (Friendswood, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Fort Bend Willowridge will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 23-20 non-league loss to Texas City (Texas City, TX).
