The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Newnan Cougars (Newnan, GA) and the host Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Chattanooga, TN), saw Newnan's volleyball squad beat Notre Dame by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Newnan upgrades its record to 8-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Mount Vernon (Atlanta, GA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 26. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

The Fighting Irish now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Chattanooga Christian for a non-league bout on Monday, August 28.
