Illinois High School Soccer - Elgin nudges Glenbard East

Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Glenbard East Rams (Lombard, IL), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Maroons confront the Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 28. Elgin will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Jefferson (Rockford, IL).
The Rams now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Larkin for a Upstate Eight challenge on Wednesday, August 30. Glenbard East will confront a Royals team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Sycamore (Sycamore, IL). The Royals record now stands at 2-0.
