Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Leopards now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Hall for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 26. Banks County will face a Vikings squad coming off a 19-3 league win over Chestatee (Gainesville, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Oconee County falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Jefferson (Jefferson, GA) to face the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 28. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. Jefferson won 9-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA)
