The Cozad Haymakers softball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Bellevue West Thunderbirds to 2 in the Haymakers non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Cozad moves its record to 5-4 on the year. The Haymakers host McCook (McCook, NE) to clash with the Bison in a non-league game on Tuesday, August 29. The Bison come into the game with a record of 3-1.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds clash with the Omaha Westside Warriors (Omaha, NE) in a A District game, on Monday, August 28. Bellevue West will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 6-2 record after their 11-7 non-league win over Malcolm (Malcolm, NE).
