Elkhorn North (Elkhorn, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Fairbury Jeffs (Fairbury, NE), 15-6 in a non-league challenge.

The now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Blair for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 28. Elkhorn North will face a Bears squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Mercy (Omaha, NE). The Bears record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Fairbury falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Jeffs host Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE) to face the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 26. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Grand Island Central Catholic won 16-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Ord (Ord, NE)
