Hillgrove Hawks (Powder Springs, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions (Atlanta, GA), 12-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Creekview for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 26. Hillgrove will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Sequoyah (Canton, GA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, St. Pius X Catholic falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Golden lions host North Springs (Atlanta, GA) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 28. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 4-6. North Springs lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Kell (Marietta, GA)
