The Azle Hornets volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting South Hills Scorpions to 0 in the Hornets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Hornets now have a 12-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chisholm Trail for a non-league game on Tuesday, August 29. Azle will meet a Rangers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Mansfield (Mansfield, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 13-10.
The Scorpions (2-18) will now prepare for their game against Bowie (Arlington, TX). The Volunteers enter the non-league game with a 1-8 record. In their last game, Bowie dropped by Cleburne (Cleburne, TX), 2-0, in a non-league game.
