The Walnut Mustangs volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Costa Mesa Mustangs to 1 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Mustangs now have a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Temple City for a non-league game on Tuesday, August 29. Walnut will meet a Rams team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Arcadia (Arcadia, CA). The Rams record now stands at 3-0.
The Mustangs (6-2) will now prepare for their game against Valencia (Placentia, CA). The Tigers enter the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Valencia was nudged by Sonora (La Habra, CA), 3-2, in a non-league game.
