The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS) and the visiting Pass Christian Pirates (Pass Christian, MS), saw East Central's volleyball squad beat Pass Christian by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, East Central upgrades its record to 4-8 on the year. The Hornets travel to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS) to play the War Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. The War Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Wayne County lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Lamar (Meridian, MS)

The Pirates now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Greene County for a Class 4 Region 8 bout on Tuesday, August 29. Pass Christian will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-3.
