The South Pontotoc Cougars volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Hatley Tigers to 1 in the Cougars non-league victory on Saturday.
The Cougars now have a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Caledonia for a non-league game on Tuesday, August 29. South Pontotoc will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Cavaliers record now stands at 10-4.
The Tigers (1-7) will now prepare for their game against Nettleton (Nettleton, MS). The Tigers enter the Class 3 Region 4 game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Nettleton was nudged by Mantachie (Mantachie, MS), 2-0, in a non-league game.
