The Patriots go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Westminster School at Oak Mountain (Birmingham, AL).

With the loss, Northside moves to 3-2 on the year. The Rams travel to Hale County (Moundville, AL) to face the Wildcats in a 4A Area 7 contest on Tuesday, August 29. The Wildcats go into the contest with a record of 0-2.
