Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) and the host Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), saw Porter Ridge's soccer squad knock off Monroe by a count of 4-1.
The Pirates (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Blue Devils enter the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Mooresville tipped Christ the King (Huntersville, NC), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Redhawks battle the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, August 28. Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Cardinals enter the battle with a 2-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC).
