The Sprayberry Yellow Jackets overwhelmed the host Allatoona Buccaneers softball squad by a count of 12-4 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Yellow Jackets meet the Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) in a 5A Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Sprayberry will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Chiefs go into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA).
The Buccaneers (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Hiram (Hiram, GA). The Hornets go into the 4A Region 7 challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Hiram toppled Marietta (Marietta, GA), 13-1, in a non-league challenge.
