The Westfield School Hornets softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Bleckley County Royals to 1 in the Hornets non-league win on Monday.

The Hornets now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tattnall Square Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 27. Westfield School will confront a Trojans team coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Loganville Christian Academy (Loganville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 12-0.

With the loss, Bleckley County moves to 2-6 on the season. The Royals host Jefferson County (Louisville, GA) to confront the Warriors in a 1A D-I Region 2 battle on Tuesday, August 27. The Warriors come into the battle with a record of 0-4. Jefferson County lost 12-0 in their recent league battle against Washington County (Sandersville, GA)
