In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the La Joya Coyotes.

The Bloodhounds (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Harlingen (Harlingen, TX). The Cardinals enter the non-league challenge with a 4-8 record.

Next, the Coyotes meet the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 30. La Joya will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Port Isabel (Port Isabel, TX).
