The St. Cecilia Academy Scarabs edged the host Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet Royals volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league game.

Next up, the Scarabs face the Pope John Paul II Knights (Hendersonville, TN) in a D II-AA Middle game, on Wednesday, September 4. St. Cecilia Academy will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Knights go into the game with a 2-3 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Gallatin (Gallatin, TN).

The Royals (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Pearl-Cohn (Nashville, TN). The Firebirds go into the AA District 10 game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Pearl-Cohn was edged by Valor College Prep (Nashville, TN), 3-0, in a league game.
