Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Hampton Crabbers (Hampton, VA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Monarchs (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Heritage (Newport News, VA). The Hurricanes go into the Peninsula test with a 0-2 record.

The Crabbers now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodside for a Peninsula test on Thursday, August 28. Hampton will play a Wolverines team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-1.
