Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the visiting Kasson-Mantorville Komets (Kasson, MN), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Tigers (3-0) will now prepare for their outing against Lourdes (Rochester, MN). The Eagles go into the Class A Section 1 outing with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, Lourdes was edged by St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN), 5-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Komets confront the Dover-Eyota Eagles (Eyota, MN) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, August 28. Kasson-Mantorville will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles go into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 league loss to La Crescent (La Crescent, MN).
