Nebraska High School Softball - Polk County defeated by Central City

The Polk County Slammers softball squad (Stromsburg, NE), was routed 11-2 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Central City Bison (Central City, NE)

With the triumph, Central City improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Bison travel to St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE) to face the Bluehawks in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 28. The Bluehawks enter the contest with a record of 4-0. St. Cecilia won 4-3 in their recent non-league contest against Northwest (Grand Island, NE)

The Slammers now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Boone Central for a non-league contest on Thursday, August 28. Polk County will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Blue River (David City, NE). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-2.
