Papillion-LaVista Monarchs (Papillion, NE) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Elkhorn South Storm (Omaha, NE), 4-0 in a league match.

The Monarchs (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Northwest (Grand Island, NE). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Northwest was routed by St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE), 4-3, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Storm battle the Bellevue West Thunderbirds (Bellevue, NE) in a A District match, on Thursday, August 28. Elkhorn South will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the match with a 1-5 record after their 14-2 league loss to Millard South (Omaha, NE).
