With the win, Algona improves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Webster City (Webster City, IA) to encounter the Lynx in a North Central battle on Thursday, September 4. The Lynx enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Webster City lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA)

Next, the Pioneers meet the Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 30. Okoboji will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Mustangs go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 3-2 league win over East Sac County (Lake View, IA).
