Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Barstow Aztecs (Barstow, CA) and the host University Prep Jaguars (Victorville, CA), observed Barstow's volleyball team hold off University Prep by a count of 3-2.

The Aztecs (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Serrano (Phelan, CA). The Diamondbacks go into the non-league battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Serrano was edged by Quartz Hill (Quartz Hill, CA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Jaguars now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Big Bear for a Cross Valley battle on Thursday, August 28. University Prep will battle a Bears team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Desert Hot Springs (Desert Hot Springs, CA). The Bears record now stands at 4-3.
