In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Benton Rangers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Carbondale Terriers.
The Rangers (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Herrin (Herrin, IL). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Herrin nudged Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL), 2-1, in a non-league game.
The Terriers (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Newton (Newton, IL). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
