The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs edged the host Sioux City West Wolverines volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league game.

Next up, the Monarchs confront the Storm Lake Tornadoes (Storm Lake, IA) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, August 28. Denison-Schleswig will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.

With the loss, Sioux City West drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA) to play the Yellowjackets in a Missouri River outing on Tuesday, September 2. The Yellowjackets come into the outing with a record of 2-4. Jefferson lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA)
