Hampton Hornets (Hampton, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Lithia Springs Lions (Lithia Springs, GA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Jones County (Gray, GA). The Greyhounds come into the 4A Area 2 challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Jones County was beaten by Ola (McDonough, GA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the East Paulding Raiders (Dallas, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Lithia Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Rome (Rome, GA).
