Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears (Orange, TX), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians (11-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Thrall (Thrall, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Thrall was nudged by Giddings (Giddings, TX), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bears meet the Dayton Broncos (Dayton, TX) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 2. Little Cypress-Mauriceville will attempt to improve on its 16-6 season record.
